What are Ukrainian Men Like?

Trying to list something which would be the thing in common for all Ukrainian guys is rather difficult.

Unlike Greeks, who are somehow always super-hot and irresistibly gorgeous, the beauty of sexy Ukrainian guys is of a different kind. 

As a matter of fact, there are several distinctive variants of typical Ukrainian guys, based on where they live. 

Here’s what I mean:

Physical Appearance

Men who live in the Southern part have somewhat darker hair and eyes. Their beard is thick and they have mustaches as well, and the nose is straight. 

On the other hand, if you meet Ukrainian guys from the central-eastern part, the first word to come to your mind will be “medium”. Everything is mid-sized- cheekbones, forehead, eyes.

(Okay, okay, if you were to ask something about Ukrainian guys in bed, perhaps I wouldn’t use the same adjective, you know!)

Embroidered white shirts are the most beloved part of clothing, especially those who prefer the traditional style.

They generally like to wear embroidered clothes, and they like decoration on table linens, towels and elsewhere.

Besides this, their style, in general, is casual and smart, usually a combination of jeans and T-shirts. Trainers are also very popular.

As the winter is colder out there, they also have a wide range of winter accessories, such as scarves, gloves, hats, boots, sweaters and similar.

You will hear so many Ukrainian guy stereotypes and not all of them are true, trust me. 

It’s one of those Americans only eat fast food, Germans are too cold and that sort of stuff, but believe me, only when you really meet Ukrainian men, talk with them or even date them, you will have a true insight into their character and behavior. 

There are many factors that have a significant impact on that, such as education, job, hobbies, where he lives, his friends and many more. 

Those will dictate what are Ukrainian guys like in relationships and in which way they will treat their girlfriends.

1. Gentlemen Rating

Similar to Russians, being a gentleman represents one of their greatest qualities.

If it’s raining outside, or the wind is too heavy, worry not, he’ll be glad to offer you his coat or jacket.

Or even worse, you may get the impression that he doesn’t like you. 

But, the truth is actually quite the opposite. 

If he’s really into you, he’ll do his best to SHOW you in the most honest way that he likes you. 

For them, action means much more than just words, and you’ll simply get used to it. 

4. Loyalty

Even though they are not so openly free to have fun with other women, like French men do, for example, you can still never be 100% sure.

Single Ukrainian men tend to be wild and rebellious while younger, but they transform into much more peaceful men once they decide to settle down.

Die to their habit not to talk about their emotions openly, you may get the impression that they are insecure, or even worse- that they don’t like you.

But that’s far away from the truth.

They will express their emotions and feelings through some gifts and deeds, and if the other side responds well to that attention, their self-confidence will reach the highest heights.

9. Are they Friendly or Reserved?

At first, you may think they are either really shy or grumpy all the time, as you will rarely see someone smiling juts like that while walking on the street. 

But the truth is that when you actually see what are Ukrainian guys like, you will be thrilled with the huge dose of friendliness they have towards other people. 

They don’t smile because they see this as an act of silliness, stupidity or something similar.

When you actually start communicating with any of the people from Ukraine, you will see that they are warm and open to meet and make friends with other people.

Born in 1990 in Kyiv, this cute fella is definitely one of the most commonly seen guests on the list of hot Ukrainian men.

Besides being signed to prestigious modeling agency Wilhelmina, he’s an enormously popular Instagram star.

He also cooperates with internationally recognized brands such as Calvin Klein.

Before he became one of the most wanted models, he expressed interest in studying either medical psychology or translation. However, journalism was his final choice.

Even though he’s not an active journalist, he’s an occasional blogger on his eponymous site.

Another interesting curiosity from his life is that even though he was born in Ukraine, he actually grew up in Tunisia, with his grandparents.

2. Sergei Polunin

Born in 1989, he’s been in ballet from the earliest days. He initially started gymnastics, but when he was 8, ballet caught his attention so he started the Kyiv State Choreographic Institute. 

At the age of 13, after getting a degree, he entered the British Royal Ballet School and quickly became extremely popular and successful. 

One of the most handsome Ukrainian men received multiple awards and acknowledgments. Speaking of, 2007 was particularly important in his career as he earned the proud title of the Young British Dancer of the Year. 

He was named the youngest ever leading artist in the Royal Ballet when he was only 20.

Ever since he’s been performing as a guest performer in numerous theatres across the globe. 

A trivia you perhaps didn’t know is that besides Ukrainian citizenship, he also has Serbian and Russian. 

3. Ivan Dorn 

Even though he wasn’t born in Ukraine, he moved to Slavutych, a city in Ukraine when he was only 2. 

Born in 1988, Ivan is multitalented and one of the most gorgeous Ukrainian males. 

His successful career covers several fields, as he’s not only an active DJ but producer and TV presenter as well. 

He was initially part of the Para Normalnyh band, but in 2010 he decided to try luck with a solo career. 

Ivan scored numerous awards on piano competitions, and also MTV EMA award in 2017. 

His music represents an excellent combination of several different styles combined in one. It has elements of UK garage, pop, house, disco, funk, jazz, soul and hip-hop. 

Ivan was also a judge during the fifth season of one of the most popular shows, Ukrainian X-Factor, and he was also a coach during The Voice Ukraine.
